I was about to type that I'm still waiting for a real core game that appeals to me - but I'm not. lol
I don't have Kinect, nor do I want it. If M$ insists on bundling Kinect 2 in the box of their next console as rumours suggest, then I won't be buying that console. Simple as that.
Years ago I would always buy film and game mags, deciding which entertainment I would consume based on the ratings and comments. As I got older I realized that reviews are just the personal opinion of the reviewer. (Or they should be.)
Since then I don't read any reviews anymore. I consume entertainment based on what initially appeals to me based on the trailers and demos I see.

Xbox Lite in late 2013?
Come on! It makes sense for M$ (and Sony) to release slimline versions of their consoles, but surely a late 2012 release date would be better. After all, isn't the 720 supposed to be coming late 2013?
Look at the PS2 - look at how small that console was compared top the original Playstation 2...
When you look at the PSV (a portable PS3) I do wonder why Sony and M$ haven't released proper slinmline consoles yet...

Clearly M$ and Sony don't consider the Wii U a threat. The WiiU is really a current gen console. It would be crazy for M$ and Sony to release their next gen and far more expensive consoles alongside the old current gen WiiU this year.
Most consumers buy with their wallet and not their brains.
The XBOX 360 came out in 2005. The Wii came out in 2006. The Wii destroyed the 360 in sales. Maybe the year head start the Wii U has will not amount to much?

I doubt the WiiU will appeal tot he casuals the same way the Wii did. The gimmick is gone. Motion sensing was a nice gimmick, the tablet is not really that much of a gimmick,just an evolution of core game pads...

He predicted the Wii HD - and that's exactly what we're getting. The Wii U is a HD Wii. A current gen console.
1. Real stealth gameplay.
2. I self-contained story
3. Mininal or no gun use.
4. seperate co-op campaign
5. 720 launch game

I would prefer to have GTA V as a launch game for next gen systems if the 720 is coming out next year. Of course, GTA would make more money on current gen systems that have a much larger install base.
The 360 will be 7/8 years old time the 720 is released. I wonder if longer generations are here to stay. With the 720 and PS4 last 9-10 years?
